"Hata Is a Good Politician": Clinton

"All Too Human" 終わった。Stephanopoulosと自分は、"Zoloft" mates だな。この本の本筋とはまったく関係ないが、日本人が1人だけ登場する。クリントンが羽田孜について語っている部分。

"I like Hata. Speaks more English than he lets on; caught himself answering my questions before they were translated. But he's a good politician."

どうして、Good だと思ったのだろう。自分には、「『あれ』しないといけない」とか「『あれ』だから」とか、話に「あれ」の多い首相だったという印象が強い。すなわち、言語能力の欠如。

副大統領が企画したというキャンプデービッドでのcamaraderie sessions の話が何ともバカバカしい。"Setting personal goals" に "What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?" だって。どっかの企業でやってる社員合宿研修みたい。
