朝まで眠れないまま、カウンセリングに行った。眠れない日が多いので、以前処方されていたEpilim (Valparin) がまた加わった。２週間後にまた行く。それまでにあまり改善してないようだと、きわめて安全で短期間に効果が現れる治療法とされているECT を試してみてもいいと言われた。"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" を連想した。もちろん拒否することはできるのだが、自分がその候補になるとは……。

抗うつ剤を使用しているので、中枢抑制作用のある（depressant）アルコールに対する"threshold" が低くなっても不思議ではない。
