Zappa, "Nobody Knows," Mehta

5月28日。紙風船に「おつかれさま」のあいさつに行ったら休みだった。Borders に行ってみたら、新しい"Zappa"本が出ていて買ってしまった。

4日。JB に行く。シンガポールに再入国するとき、入管でビザ申請受領の手紙を見せると、「何日必要なんだ」ときかれた。「30日」と言うとそのまま30日もらえた。しかし、ビザ申請はまだ承認されていない。ちょっと時間がかかりすぎだな。あんまりいいサインではない。

会社で割付けに使うPageMaker にやっと慣れてきた。予期しない問題が発生がなければひとりで何とか作業を終えることができる。退社時間が少しは早くなるだろう。

先週末、「誰も知らない」を見た。演技しているとは思えない演技。柳楽くんが受賞したことにおどろきなし。

"Subhas" をまとめて読む時間がとれない。まだ半分終えていない。

金曜日のStraits Times だったと思うが、「Midori 来星」の中で"the late Zubin Mehta"とあった。いつ死んだんだ？

Zubin Mehta has been Music Director of the Bavarian State Opera and the Bavarian State Orchestra since 1998.
