Steve Garvey and John Candelaria Walking Together

Watching Game 1 of the 1977 World Series in New York. I remember meeting a group of Major Leaguers in the Nanzenji area in my hometown accidentally when I was a high school kid. Steve Garvey and John Candelaria were walking together. I asked for their autographs and they gave theirs to my white sweater with a red Rawlings logo on the chest. Garvey said “Oh, Rawlings sweater!” The sweater autographed by the two is gone now. It simply disappeared in one of my movings.
